Most of the beaches on this beautiful Greek island consist of golden sand, similar to those on the neighboring islands of Naxos and Mykonos. The liveliest areas are in the north and east of Paros, while the beach resorts in the south are the quietest. A single vacation isn’t enough to take a dip in the sea at every turn.

Paros Beaches in the West
#1 Beaches near Parikia
There are only a few good swimming spots on the west coast of Paros. There are several beaches around the circular bay of Parikia. Due to the island’s central location within the Cyclades, there is heavy boat traffic in the port of Paros. There are also numerous sailors. Whether you want to swim here is up to you.

Beaches near Parikia include Paralia Parikia, Livadia Beach, and Krios Beach. The latter is about 2 km from Parikia and is the quietest. Be careful when high-speed catamarans enter the harbor; although they enter at reduced speed, they can still cause high waves.

#2 Agia Irini Beach (Palm Beach)
About 6 km southwest of Parikia lies one of the few western beaches, Paralia Agia Irini. The beach is situated in a deeply indented bay that offers protection from the strong north winds. Shady palm trees give the beach a Caribbean flair. Sun loungers at reasonable prices and cool drinks are available at the Laris Beach Bar, which reopened in 2024.
Otherwise, there aren’t many attractive stretches of beach on the west coast. The wind is too strong, and all kinds of flotsam are constantly washed ashore. On calm days, you can visit Pounta Beach, a favorite among kitesurfers. Here, a wide, sandy spit juts out into the sea. From Pounta, excursions to the neighboring island of Antiparos are also possible.
Paros Beaches in the North
#3 Kolimbithres
To the west of Naoussa Bay, on the coast of Kolimbithres, lies what many vacationers consider the most beautiful beach on Paros. Kolimbithres is located about 4 km from Naoussa and consists of several small coves separated from one another by rocky outcrops jutting into the sea.
The scenery, with its light-colored rocks surrounded by turquoise-blue sea, is reminiscent of the Seychelles—only the palm trees are missing at Kolimbithres Beach. In the summer, this Paros beach is very popular and parking spots are scarce. If you prefer, you can also take the bus from Naoussa; the bus stop (Ktel Bus Stop) is just 150 m away.
Several taverns above the beach cater to your culinary needs. Our recommendation is the newly opened Maremma restaurant, where you can enjoy delicious Greek cuisine at slightly higher prices, but with a sea view and a lovely atmosphere.

#4 Monastiri Beach (Paros Park)
Just 2 km north lies the Agios Ioannis Detis peninsula with several dream beaches, including Monastiri Beach. The rugged region is known as Paros Park and is largely untouched by human hands, though unfortunately it has not yet been sufficiently designated as a nature reserve.
If you’re arriving by rental car, park in the lot in front of the eponymous Monastery of St. John’s of Deti or behind the main beach, Paralia Monastiri. It’s a great spot for swimming during the off-season. There are no waves and the entry into the sea is shallow. In summer, it is always crowded, sunbeds start at €50, and the bar of the same name does not have the best reputation.
If you follow the path along the coast to the east, however, you’ll find your own personal swimming paradise. Several smaller and larger beaches are just a few minutes away, such as Perikopetra Beach, Katholiko Beach, and Tourkou Ammos Beach. During our visit in September, they were largely deserted.
On the other side of the large bay of Naoussa lies the Santa Maria Peninsula. Here, too, you’ll find some beautiful Paros beaches, though unfortunately many have already been snapped up by investors. New vacation resorts spring up every year around the large Santa Maria Beach.
We found Paralia Mikri Santa Maria, a bit further north, more inviting; crystal-clear water meets golden sand here. Sun loungers can be rented on-site starting at €30. A visit to the O Katsounas tavern for lunch is well worth it. It’s about 6 km from Naoussa to here, and the bus runs hourly from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. You can book a rental car through Discover Cars* and other providers:

#6 Beaches near Filizi
On the coast north of the rocky island of Filizi lies a largely undeveloped, wild stretch of beach with rust-brown sand. Since the waves of the rough north winds break here, the beach is constantly changing. Nevertheless, we found beautiful, secluded mini-beaches, some of which are only accessible on foot—an insider tip!

Paros Beaches in the East
#7 Molos Beach
From Santa Maria, many more beaches stretch southward along the east coast, though most consist of gravel and have strong waves. It’s not until the unspoiled Tsoukalia Beach that you’ll find sand again—a paradise on calm days. Otherwise, only windsurfers are drawn here.
However, we found Molos Beach, located a bit further south, to be more inviting; it is well sheltered from the wind by a rocky cape and is partially lined with sun-protecting tamarisk trees. It is one of the longest and calmest beaches on Paros and has no operator.

#8 Logaras Beach
A 10-minute drive further south, not far from the village of Piso Livadi, travelers who value local amenities will find their dream beach at Logaras Beach, with fine sand and crystal-clear water. Sun loungers are available at the beach bars starting at €30 per person, and the water gets deep fairly quickly. For lunch, we drove to Piso Livadi and stopped at the Gialos Paros restaurant.

#9 Golden Beach (Chrisi Akti)
In the southeast of Paros lies the 500-meter-long dune beach Paralia Chrisi Akti. Translated, it means Golden Beach—the name says it all—and it is considered the most popular beach on Paros. A handful of beach bars and restaurants have set up shop here, renting out lounge chairs starting at €20 and serving food and drinks (recommendation: The Beach Project).
During the season, the bars also provide great music, with DJs spinning tunes in the evenings. The beach also offers water sports, as well as a surf station and a diving school. If that’s too much hustle and bustle for you, head over to Paralia Nea Chrisi Akti. It’s quieter here, and with a view of the neighboring island of Naxos, it’s a great spot to relax by the sea.

Paros beaches in the south
#10 Paralia Lolantonis
Lolantonis Beach, southwest of the resort town of Drios, is no longer a hidden gem among Paros’ beaches, but a dip in the cool water in this idyllic setting is still well worth it. The sheltered bay offers crystal-clear water, and a few tamarisk trees stand on the gray sand to provide shade. #11 Paralia Glyfa
Things are even more laid-back at Glyfa Beach, located 10 minutes’ drive further west and accessible only via a gravel road. Sun loungers aren’t available for rent, but tamarisk trees provide shade here as well—though spots fill up quickly. The simple Glyfa Cafe right behind the beach serves refreshments, and the reef to the west is great for snorkeling.

#12 Faragas Beach
Continuing east along the coastal road, you’ll reach Faragas (also Farangka), arguably one of the most popular beaches in southern Paros. The entry into the sea is shallow, making Paralia Faraggas a great spot for swimming with kids. The local beach restaurant isn’t as dazzling as the golden sand; the lounge chairs cost an unbelievable €70 per pair, and the food is simple yet completely overpriced.
#13 Agios Nikolaos Beach (Aliki)
The resort town of Aliki has three beautiful beaches and many dining options (tip: To Balcony tou Aki). The village beach, Paralia Aliki, is quite narrow but cozy: fishing boats bob in the sea and tavern chairs stand in the sand. Those seeking even more tranquility will find the unspoiled beach of Piso Aliki southeast of the village.
We found Agios Nikolaos Beach, a sandy and pebbly beach on the western edge of town, much more pleasant. Our daughter really liked the gentle slope into the sea, and the playground just 50 meters behind the beach rounds out the family beach day.

#14 Beaches near Voutakos
On the southwestern tip of Paros lies the scattered settlement of Voutakos, whose coastline features several unspoiled beaches and swimming coves. There hasn’t been a major construction boom here yet, so many swimming spots are freely accessible via gravel paths. Secluded coves like Paralia Makra Miti are also suitable for nude bathing.
