Everything you should know before booking
What should I know before booking?
Two things are important so that we can give you the best possible advice:
1. You should know your destination. With the trip plan, we create a complete itinerary for one island or region — so you should already know whether you’re heading to Crete, Paros, or Zakynthos, for example. If you’re still undecided about which island to choose, our video call is exactly what you need: we’ll help you make that decision.
2. Plan enough lead time. We recommend booking your consultation at least 4–6 weeks before your departure. For peak season (July/August), even earlier is better, as good accommodations on the popular islands fill up fast.
What's included in the Greece Video Call?
In the video call, we’ll answer all your questions about your trip live in 30 minutes — whether it’s about an island or a destination on the mainland. The call takes place via Zoom at a time that works for you, and on request we’ll record it, so you can listen back at your leisure later. Ideal if you need clarity on 2–3 decisions or simply want to get your bearings before diving into detailed planning.

With the trip plan, we take the full research off your plate: you’ll get two hand-picked accommodation recommendations, a flight suggestion from your preferred airport, and tips for your rental car on the spot. Plus a Google Maps with our favorite spots and excursions we personally love. You’ll receive everything ready to book in one clear PDF — and then you click your way through the bookings at your own pace.
Why do you need a questionnaire?
To truly tailor our recommendations to you, we need a few key details: your travel dates, your budget, and your preferences. Filling it out takes about 5 minutes, and the more specific you are about what you’re looking for, the better our recommendations will fit. We use your details exclusively for your planning — nothing is shared with anyone else.
When will I receive my trip planning?
For the video call, we’ll schedule a time that fits your calendar — usually within the next 1–2 weeks. For the trip plan, we typically put everything together within 5 business days after receiving your questionnaire. We guarantee that all recommended accommodations, flights, and rental cars are bookable at the time of delivery. If something sells out within 7 days of receipt, we’ll find you an alternative free of charge.
Do you also plan multi-stop trips or island hopping?
At the moment, we focus on planning for a single destination — one island or one mainland region of your choice. This way, we can give you our full attention and share everything we know about that specific place. For more complex routes like island hopping through the Cyclades or a multi-stop trip on the mainland, we recommend our travel guides from the shop — you’ll find fully planned routes including ferries, hotels, and highlights. Who knows, we might offer multi-stop planning again down the road — but not at the moment.
Who is liable for my trip to Greece?
We are neither a travel agent nor a tour operator — we advise you independently and recommend services that you book yourself with the respective providers. For that reason, we can’t take liability for cancellations, postponements, or any other issues with individual parts of your trip. If you want to protect yourself against the unexpected, we recommend taking out travel insurance.
Don't travel agents offer free Greece consultations?
True, travel agents often offer free consultations — though since a recent law change, they’re also allowed to charge for them. But the bigger difference lies elsewhere: travel agents typically work with fixed partners like TUI or major tour operators and mainly sell package holidays from a catalog. We, on the other hand, have personally visited over 50 Greek islands and recommend what we truly know — independently, honestly, and without any catalog fluff.
