You no longer need proof to return to Germany. Both unvaccinated and vaccinated holidaymakers are allowed to enter the country without additional proof. There are currently no restrictions for the unvaccinated in Greece.<\/p>\n<h3>Entry by air, land and sea<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Currently, you can enter Greece by car, ferry, or plane. Carefree island hopping is fully possible again.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Is there still 3-G in Greece?<\/strong> For a holiday in Greece, a 3-G certificate is no longer required for entry, for facilities on site, or for returning to Germany. Masks are only compulsory in hospitals and nursing homes in isolated cases.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"reisehinweise\">#3 Travel advice for your holiday in Greece<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the season from the end of April to the beginning of November, <strong>direct flights from Germany<\/strong> and other EU states to the Greek islands. The ferry ports in Italy and all Greek border crossings (Albania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Turkey) are open for tourist travel.<\/p>\n<div style=\"border-left: 4px solid #00aad9; background-color: #f9f9f9; padding: 12px 16px; margin: 20px 0; font-family: sans-serif; border-radius: 6px;\">\n<p style=\"margin: 0; color: #333;\">Why it is <strong>worth traveling to Greece<\/strong>, you will learn in this article: <a href=\"https:\/\/greece-moments.com\/en\/holiday-in-greece\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reasons for a holiday in Greece<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3>What must be considered when leaving Greece?<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Holidaymakers from Greece have to <strong>no longer register when returning home<\/strong>. The digital entry registration for entry into Germany was discontinued at the end of 31.12.2022.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>General obligation to provide proof of entry<\/strong> (3G) do no longer exists. The Coronavirus Entry Ordinance (CoronaEinreiseV) expired on April 7, 2023. So no additional test or Covid certificate is required to return to Germany.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"testzentren\">Where can I take a corona test in Greece?<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A test on return to Germany is no longer mandatory. If you still want to take a test before departure for your own safety, you can still have this done in pharmacies and health clinics.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">What do I have to consider when traveling to the islands?<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Transport from the mainland to the islands<\/strong> and vice versa, as well as from island to island, does not require corona proof (test, vaccination or recovery certificate).<\/p>\n<h3>When are hotels open in Greece?<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The majority of hotels in Greece open every season from the end of April, including many package and all-inclusive hotels. The entry took place via the Balkans, the known regulations and measures applied. The employees and service staff have adhered to the local hygiene concepts. The hygiene concepts continued to be well implemented in our accommodations. The beaches and restaurants were well visited again from 2022, and in 2023 the number of visitors was higher than before the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"aktuell\">#4 Corona situation in Greece<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Since May 1, 2022, all 2G\/3G regulations in Greece have been lifted. No Covid proof is required to enter gastronomic and cultural facilities in Greece. There is also no longer a mask requirement.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_12512\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12512\" style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-12512\" title=\"Corona Kreta Urlaub Griechenland m\u00f6glich\" src=\"https:\/\/greece-moments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Corona-Kreta-Urlaub-Griechenland-m\u00f6glich.jpg\" alt=\"Corona Kreta Urlaub Griechenland m\u00f6glich\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-12512\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Greeks protect themselves from Corona<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3>Corona cases on the Greek islands<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In general, only a few corona cases occurred on the Greek islands. The natural isolation of the islands probably prevented the spread of the Corona pandemic in the popular holiday destinations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>number of cases on the Greek islands<\/strong> are no longer listed by us. On the blog <a href=\"https:\/\/www.keeptalkinggreece.com\/category\/1-news\/coronavirus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">keeptalkinggreece<\/a> Here you will find the weekly Corona numbers for Greece. The EODY (&#8220;Greek: RKI&#8221;) also reports Corona cases of the Greek islands and districts.<\/p>\n<h3>How did the Corona pandemic spread in Greece?<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On average, about 55% of those infected with Corona in Greece were men and 45% women. 83% of the deceased were over 65 years old, and almost half of the Greeks who died with Corona were over 80 years old. The majority of patients already had at least one serious pre-existing condition before the corona infection (source: EODY).<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8254\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8254\" style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-8254\" title=\"Griechische Lebensweise Insel Kasos\" src=\"https:\/\/greece-moments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Griechische-Lebensweise-Insel-Kasos.jpg\" alt=\"Griechische Lebensweise Insel Kasos\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8254\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Grandparents in particular must be protected<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Even for us, it is astonishing that the freedom-loving Greeks largely adhered to the Corona restrictions. In the end, it benefited the elderly in particular. Along with Italy, Greece has the highest rate of people over 65 in relation to the total population.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"quarant\u00e4ne\">#5 A piece of Greece to take home<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As long as we still have to wait for our Greece vacation in 2024, we are already dreaming of the <a href=\"https:\/\/greece-moments.com\/en\/greek-islands\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Greek Islands<\/a> or the beautiful mainland.
