Around the circular <strong>Bay of Parikia<\/strong> there are some beaches. Due to the central location of the island within the Cyclades, there is a lot of shipping traffic in the port of Paros. In addition, there are numerous sailors. The beach is located in a deep bay that offers shelter from the strong north winds. Shady palm trees give the beach a Caribbean flair. The wind is too strong, flotsam of all kinds is washed up again and again. On windless days, you can watch the kitesurfers at <strong>Pounta Beach<\/strong>. Here a wide, sandy headland juts out into the sea. Kolimbithres is located about 4 km from Naoussa and is made up of several small coves separated by rocky outcrops jutting out into the sea.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_35849\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-35849\" style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-35849\" title=\"Paralia Kolimbithres Insel Paros Urlaub\" src=\"https:\/\/greece-moments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Paralia-Kolimbithres-Insel-Paros-Urlaub.jpg\" alt=\"Paralia Kolimbithres Insel Paros Urlaub\" width=\"800\" height=\"320\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-35849\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Kolimbithres: A Touch of Seychelles<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The backdrop with the bright rocks surrounded by turquoise-blue sea is reminiscent of the Seychelles, only the palm trees are missing at <strong>Kolimbithres Beach<\/strong>. In summer, this Paros beach is very busy and parking spaces are limited. The rugged region is called Paros Park and is largely natural, but unfortunately not yet sufficiently designated as a nature reserve.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_35855\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-35855\" style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-35855\" title=\"Paros Park Str\u00e4nde Agios Ioannis Detis Halbinsel\" src=\"https:\/\/greece-moments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Paros-Park-Straende-Agios-Ioannis-Detis-Halbinsel.jpg\" alt=\"Paros Park Str\u00e4nde Agios Ioannis Detis Halbinsel\" width=\"800\" height=\"299\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-35855\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dream bay of Ag. Ioannis Detis Peninsula<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you arrive by rental car, park in the parking lot in front of the eponymous monastery Monastery of St. John&#8217;s of Deti or behind the main beach <strong>Paralia Monastiri<\/strong>. In the low season you can swim here well. There are no waves and the entrance to the sea is shallow. In summer it is always crowded, the loungers cost from 50 \u20ac and the bar of the same name does not have the best reputation.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_35856\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-35856\" style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-35856\" title=\"Tourkou Ammos Beach Paros Kykladen\" src=\"https:\/\/greece-moments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Tourkou-Ammos-Beach-Paros-Kykladen.jpg\" alt=\"Tourkou Ammos Beach Paros Kykladen\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-35856\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Tourkou Ammos Beach<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you follow the path along the coast to the east, on the other hand, you will find your personal bathing paradise. Several smaller and larger beaches can be reached in a few minutes, e.g. Perikopetra Beach, Katholiko Beach and <strong>Tourkou Ammos Beach<\/strong>. When we visited in September, they were largely deserted.<\/p>\n<h3>#5 Santa Maria Beach<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the other side of the large bay of Naoussa is the peninsula of Santa Maria. Here you can also find some beautiful Paros beaches, unfortunately many are already occupied by investors. Around the large <strong>Santa Maria Beach<\/strong> new holiday resorts are built every year.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_35857\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-35857\" style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-35857\" title=\"Paros Santa Maria Paralia\" src=\"https:\/\/greece-moments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Paros-Santa-Maria-Paralia.jpg\" alt=\"Paros Santa Maria Paralia\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-35857\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Paralia Mikri Santa Maria<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We liked the <strong>Paralia Mikri Santa Maria<\/strong> a little further north, crystal clear water meets golden sand here. Sunbeds can be rented on site from \u20ac30. A visit to the <em>Tavern O Katsounas<\/em> at lunchtime is worthwhile. Since the waves of the harsh north winds break here, the beach is subject to constant dynamics. Only on the natural <strong>Tsoukalia Beach<\/strong> there is sand again, a paradisiacal place on windless days.
